The flash receiver BE1442 from Bellman & Symfon is part of the Visit smart home system that alerts you to triggers within your home. The BE1442 flash receiver includes a battery backup - so you can take it with you around your home or have peace of mind that your flashing alert will still function in the event of a power cut. (Transmitters sold separately)
It alerts you with bright flashes when the doorbell or telephone rings, when your baby needs you or if a fire should occur. This flash receiver can be used with any of the Bellman Visit transmitters keep in touch with your surroundings and a great solution for anyone who is deaf or hard of hearing to keep them in touch with the sounds and alerts around their home.
Our evaluation panel found the flash receiver to have a bright and powerful strobe light, suitable to attract your attention, even when you're not looking at it. Popular as a silent alert option; the flash would also be great for someone who wanted a clear visual alert or who didn't want to wear a vibrating pager. This version with a battery back-up is a particularly nice choice - great for taking with you around the house eg. into the bathroom or the kitchen.
The flash receiver is very easy to set up and use. Just connect
it to the mains to charge the battery and place it on a table or
shelf. The battery will last approx. 48 hours in between charges.
You can also mount it on the wall using a wall bracket accessory.
N.B. an alternative model of flash receiver is available without
the built-in battery (BE1441 - see Associated Items) if preferred.
